In desperation, I ordered this Head Hunters Repellent Spray. I have been using it on the kids' hair before I send them to school, and so far so good. Two months and no lice. However, it never dawned on me to use it on myself because I figured the kids were bringing them home from school so I didn't need it. Guess what surprise I had one day? Yep, lice on me! I immediately checked the kids - NO LICE! I was the only one that got them. Used to only be available through the Headhunters website so I was THRILLED to see more people would have access here on Amazon. My kids are in schools that regularly have lice all year long and I\u2019m EXTREMELY paranoid mine will get them. While I can\u2019t definitively prove that this - along with the shampoo and conditioner - is why they haven\u2019t come home with lice, with 2 kids and 8 years using them in school each, we\u2019ve had no problems and want to keep it that way. We use them all summer as well, when sleepovers are most popular and we visit playgrounds more often. I will continue to use all 3 and always tell people about our experience when they have the same situation. THE PEACE OF MIND ALONE IS MORE THAN WORTH THE COST! Also, it\u2019s a lovely lemon scent - not like citronella or bug spray AT ALL - and makes your hair really soft. My son says they smell like lemon candy which is a great description - and we\u2019re all VERY picky when it comes to scented products. It does fade pretty quickly though if you\u2019re not a fan of lemons. I also use the spray, especially when I go to volunteer at school, and never have any problems with my color and highlights. In fact, we always have the softest hair using these. I have one boy with fine hair and one girl with very thick and curly, long hair and they\u2019re great in both. The spray is a wonderful detangler also! I found this company years ago when I thought my daughter had lice (thankfully it was just product build up) and went to their location here in Atlanta. Every single person there was so nice and understanding and checked thoroughly to make sure both kids were lice free. I wish I could give MORE THAN FIVE STARS to this company and to their products!
